I’ve been using ChatGPT to do a lot of things lately, including many of the “Featured Images” on this blog. The one on this post was a second attempt.
At first glance, I really liked this first attempt. The friendly chat window told me “Here’s your 16:9 Happy Thanksgiving image. It depicts a warm and inviting Thanksgiving scene with a beautifully set dining table, complete with traditional feast, autumn decorations, and a cozy fireplace in the background.”
When I looked a bit closer, though, I wondered about AI’s idea of a “traditional feast”.
I had tried to make an image for the Monopoly post on November 19. When the words didn’t come out quite right, I turned to Canva’s version of AI for the featured image.
The wall posters were a nice idea, if misspelled, but I just couldn’t go with the big Monoppoly in the center of the board. How many people can play at one time?
The misspellings on the motorcycles aren’t all that obvious unless you look really closely and the first one actually says Police on it.
And the 12 Days of Christmas would be so close without the text (and what is trench hives? Sounds like a bad disease!).
Like I said, I’m very new to the world of AI and am just learning how to do good prompts to get what I want but this Thanksgiving for the first time ever, I’m thankful for AI, ChatGPT, Canva Pro and DALL-E, so I asked my friendly bot to make me an image. It said “Here’s your 16:9 image that creatively represents gratitude for ChatGPT, Canva Pro, and DALL-E, featuring symbolic elements for each. The composition combines digital and artistic motifs to convey innovation and creativity.”
What do *you* think about AI in general?
