Free Theatre Workshop for 4th – 8th graders

Free workshop with cast and crew from our production of Freaky Friday, a New Musical.
Learn choreography and songs from the show, play improv games, tour the set.
Perform for parents at 3:45pm on the stage.

What: During the workshop, you will play theatre games, take a tour of our auditorium including the lights and sound booth, props, and costumes, learn and perform a piece of choreography from the show, and have a Q&A with members of our cast and crew!
A snack will be provided, please bring a water bottle and dress in clothes you can move in comfortably.
At pickup, parents/guardians are invited to watch a 10 minute presentation of what students learned!
About the Show:
The new musical, Freaky Friday, based on the beloved 1972 novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films features a book by Bridget Carpenter and music and lyrics by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey. When an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right again. Freaky Friday, is a heartfelt, comedic, and unexpectedly emotional update on an American classic. By spending a day in each other’s shoes, Katherine and Ellie come to appreciate one another’s struggles, learn self-acceptance, and realize the immeasurable love and mutual respect that bond a parent and child.
