Blackout Poetry

Learn how to create your own blackout poems!

We’ll provide articles and old books, and you’ll create the poem by blacking out or covering up the words you don’t want in your poem. You’ll have the option of decorating your poems as well.

Kids ages 8 and up and teens are welcome.

Registration is not required, but encouraged.

What Will I Need?

What you you Need? Blackout poetry needs very little other than concentration and your imagination.

We will supply:

  • A sharpie or another dark marker
  • Various pages from magazines, newspapers and/or old books
